A co-owner of the firm, Jon Boba helps lead and manage CA’s consulting practice and co-manages its executive search practice. As Managing Principal, Jon is responsible for developing and managing client relationships, business development and senior- to executive/board-level consulting work including, but not limited to: management consulting; succession planning; ‘right-sizing;’ and creating and implementing professional development programs for high performing future leaders.
Over his nearly 25 years in real estate consulting, Jon has successfully completed more than 500 engagements nationally and internationally, representing a wide range of corporations, private firms and non-for-profits in the real estate and financial service industries. He also has developed an industry specialization over the past 20 years in health care/seniors housing, where he is recognized as a services industry leader, respected conference speaker and author of several published articles.
Prior to joining CA in 2009, Jon was a principal with Carlyle Group, where he expanded the firm’s practice nationally and helped lead its seven-person real estate/financial services search and consulting divisions. Before Carlyle, Jon enjoyed a 13-year career with Ferguson Partners/FPL Advisory Group, an international recruiting enterprise providing various consulting and executive recruiting services to real estate and financial services companies. Jon also served as a vice president for EMH Financial, an affiliated company of Ferguson Partners, where he was chiefly involved in the firm’s corporate finance and capital markets activities, while also serving as the firm’s general counsel. Jon began his career as an associate at the Chicago law firm of Carroll & Sain, LLC, where he was engaged in the practice of corporate, real estate and civil law.
Jon is a licensed attorney and broker in the state of Illinois and is a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties and the American Seniors Housing Association.
Jon received a Bachelor of Arts in business/economics from Wheaton College and his Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law.
