Amy’s mission at Christenson Advisors is to evaluate and understand clients’ needs and provide a consultative approach to exceeding their goals. She taps her diverse, inside perspective – insight shaped by her 20+ years of experience in the health care/seniors housing industry and a unique background that spans finance and operations to marketing and human resources – to accomplish this mission.
Amy Bauer leads Christenson Advisors (CA) executive search practice on the East Coast. As a principal, Amy is responsible for developing and managing client relationships, business development, and search execution.
Prior to joining CA, Amy was a senior vice president at Capital Funding Group, a provider of financing solutions for health care facilities and multifamily properties. She cultivated relationships with capital sources to expand CFG’s health care lending business and worked to successfully close over $400 million in loans, in addition to overseeing marketing and corporate philanthropy initiatives.
Before CFG, Amy was with Erickson Retirement Communities (now Erickson Living), the national developer and manager of campus-style continuing care retirement communities. She began her career in resident life at an Erickson-managed CCRC. As the entrepreneurial company grew, Amy continued to advance, eventually building an investor relations department that managed relationships for $2.4 billion in financings from more than 80 capital sources.
Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and religion from James Madison University and a master’s degree from the School of Public Affairs (now Public Policy) at the University of Maryland, College Park.
